GWRSD Calendar 2026-27 Key Dates

The whole GWRSD year fits in about 41 weeks, September 1 through June 18. The long breaks are the weeks to book early, before everyone else on the same calendar does.

First Day of School 2026

The first day of school on the GWRSD Calendar is Tuesday, September 1, 2026. Teachers report earlier, starting August 26. It is the date the last summer trip and the last camp week have to end by, and nonrefundable fares booked around a guessed date are the ones that hurt.

Because classes begin on a Tuesday, the opening week is only 4 days long. The first full week of school starts Monday, September 7, although it has a day off in it too.

Single Days Off and Short Weeks on the GWRSD Calendar

Outside the long breaks, students here have 8 single days off during the school year, and 9 weeks are shortened, either by one of those days or by part of a longer break. In total that is 28 weekdays with no school between September 1 and June 18.
